It's 400 families...but the conservative Rabbi wants to count the absentee 
Jews, bringing the total at his synagogue to 423. So the "progressive" 
leadership team at the reform synagogue asked for a recount and decided to 
include all of the prospective members who haven't made up their minds yet 
and determine their intent...ok, dayaynu!
