In addition to the wonderful suggestions already provide check out (for the
older elementary students) Sam Glaser's Chanukah song on Across the River,
Safam's on After All These Years (a nice choral piece) and Jeff Klepper's on
Kol B'Seder's Growin' II. And, Debbie Friedman's The Latke Song.
Also for younger students Debbie Friedman has songs on her Shana Tova CD.
Finally - for those who teach little ones here is a finger play/song that has
been a popular one with the preschool and kindergarten set. Its one I wrote
one day to the tune of "I'm a Little teapot"
I'm a little latke, round and brown (make a circle with your hands)
Put me in the frying pan, (place one hand on top of the other, which is
upturned)
then turn me down (flip top hand over)
When you hear me sizzle (hand cupped over ear, listening)
Then, I'm done.
Eat me up (bring hand to mouth, as if latke were in hand)
Oh, yum, yum, yum. (rub tummy.)
A bit silly, I know - but they love it!
