you may have noticed that Shalom America is on the Refuah list. The server Phil uses is down and parts are on order. In the meantime, Nusach Radio is still broadcasting on Live365.com. If you are on several jewish lists, you may receive this message in duplicate. I appologize for that inconvenience, but I am trying to reach as many people as possible.
We have begun a new station called YILADIM RADIO to provide Jewish Children music of our heritage while surfing the web and doing homework. There is a link to the station on the Nusach website at:
We have recently added to our playlists as follows
24 HOUR NUSACH:
Cantor Moshe Shulhof and Cantor David Lefkowitz were added during the past week. I have added Cantor Shalom Katz to the line up starting Wednesday evening. Cantor Katz came through the Holicaust and sang at Teferet Israel in Washington DC not far from where I grew up. He was known for the "sweetness" in his voice quality. I was fortunate to have heard him daven many times.
YILADIM RADIO:
I have added more music from Judy Caplan Ginsburg, from her albums Havdalah Pajama Live DC and from Amazing Songs for Amazing Jewish kids. This joins music by Carol Boyd Leon. I will be adding to the playlist as we go along. I also would like to invite anyone who performs Jewish music for children to send their work to me to add to Yiladim Radio.
NUSACHMAVEN LIVE!
While Shalom America is "down" for repairs, I am working on producing a live broadcast on Sunday on live365. (station is set up, but there is a bug and the live connection is not being established. I have sent them email and they are working on the problem.) I will let you know the time on Sunday if I can pull it together. The play list will feature the new CD by Craig Taubman "Celebrate Shabbat."
SHABBAT PROGRAMING:
24HOUR NUSACH will play shabbat music from Friday morning through Havdalah (eastern time) at which time we will return to our regular rotation.
Enjoy your Turkey (for non vegitarians) and don't gobble too much!
