[HANASHIR:7428] RE: Temple Musician Wkshps

I understand the UAHC position and it may seem a little inflexible, but...

Being a 'representative' of a UAHC member can mean many things. I substitute
occasionally at a local Reform temple, which qualifies me as a
'representative'.

But, even before I did this, I was able to enroll in a 3 year Cantorial
Soloist Seminar which is offered at HUC-JIR LA. The course gives a survey of
nusach, contemporary repertoire and liturgy. And, since some of us have
Conservative backgrounds and/or serve Conservative congregations, the class
serves to educate us about the Reform movement. My knowledge of and respect
for the Reform movement have grown immeasurably these last 3 years.
