Dear Eric...you would have gotten the job no matter what.  The more 
complicated problem is that had you a certificate you would probably have 
been priced out of the job.  Not to mention the fact that there are tons of 
people with all kinds of certificates who are unqualified and incapable.

Keep up the good work, at least you were honest and they knew who they were 
getting.
