Contact Ramon Tasat. He is a cantor in the Maryland area and he has some
wonderful collections of Italian and Sephardic music that he has preserved in
printed and CD form. His stuff should be in any Jewish music library that is
looking for preservation and continuity of heritage. His e-mail is RamonT (at)

Tonight I gave a really fun adult ed. class on Jewish music of the soul --
Debbie Friedman, Jeff Klepper, Shlomo Carlebach, Shefa Gold and others. For my
next program I would like to put together a program of beautiful Jewish song
from around the world. I have Velvel's Israeli song books, the Castel Ladino
song book, Rahel Musleah's Calcutta song book and the Jewish Fake Book. I
would like to purchase one or two more books or CD's to help me find lesser
known materials. Can anyone suggest titles?
Thanks,
Rachelle
