[HANASHIR:6941] Re: Women's Rosh Chodesh

Shirona,

We have a lively and active Rosh Chodesh group which has been meeting monthly
for almost 2 years. It takes a great deal of dedication and energy from the
leadership to keep it going. As is often the case, there is one tireless
volunteer who makes sure it happens monthly. There is always a nice little
turnout and a cozy, meaningful service. We use a standard Women of Reform
Judaism as a base and take off from there. Each month's theme is a reflection
of the meaning of the Jewish month. We have had our own lifecycle ceremonies,
healing services and discussions. We choose from our wonderful Reform
songwriters' music. I have forwarded your message to the person who usually
organizes the services and events. Good luck with your plan.

  Subject: [HANASHIR:6934] Women's Rosh Chodesh

  Hi everyone,

Any of you have experience with Women's Rosh Chodesh groups? A format,
sources for ideas, music of course, or any suggestions on this topic would be
greatly appreciated. I'm thinking of starting such a group in Lower
Westchester County, NY.

  Much obliged...

  Shirona
