Maybe, just maybe, you should gracefully decline (no pun intended!) the 
invitation to do the event. I think that you MUST be into whatever you're 
performing. If you're not, then it will show and will diminish the overall 
performance. It's a tough call because we all love getting gigs, but if it 
not "you" then perhaps you just shouldn't do it. It sounds like you have a 
good relationship with the organizers though, so don't be afraid to be honest 
with them.

In the end, it won't be what they want either if you're not comfortable with 
the music you are presenting. That stuff clearly shows though in your 
presentation.

I believe you either have to agree on a revised program with the group that 
suits your style, or suggest a performer who will give them what they want. 
However, don't let them talk you into doing something you're not good at. 
They will respect your judgement and honesty. At least they should.....
