[HANASHIR:6694] Re: CAJE

I agree with what Lisa Segal said. Less talk, more music. Fewer venues,
more showcases with new talent in between more established artists. There
were great moments, as usual, at CAJE. I was dissapointed in opening and
closing because the comedy didn't work. After Bruce Adler and Danny Maseng,
both unbelievable shows, why not bring back one of our own? Rick Recht,
Laura Berkson, Dan Nichols, Noah Budin or Robbi Sherwin all needed bigger
audiences this CAJE. They are awesome. I did like the fact that the
speeches were done after the closing night choirs, so that people could leave
if they wanted to......but why not keep on a headliner for a set at the end,
or again, a final showcase? This might encourage people to stay and actually
hear what's going on.

The highlight of this year's CAJE for me, was the Sounds Write Showcase,
where 15 of us did one song then came back for a group sing. It was great
being with everyone, hearing everyone, interacting with everyone,
collaborating and singing with everyone. That's what CAJE is all about!
