[HANASHIR:6672] Re: Return Again

Your comment that Reb Dovid Zeller composed "Return Again" (and not Reb
Shlomo Carlebach), piqued my interest. So I did a little bit of investigating
on the Internet, and came up with yet another attribution of authorship that
can be found at the following web site:

http://community-2.webtv.net/turtledovepond/TURTLEDOVEPOND

It appears that the niggun was in fact composed in 1975 by Reb Shlomo, and
the words to Return Again were written by one Ron Kahn, "aka Raphoel-Simkha."
Kahn tells the whole story of how the song was born, and how he and Carlebach
shared the copyright on it for many years, and that Kahn now holds the
copyright alone (re-registered this year.)

Also, it appears that the correct lyrics are:
    Return again, return again,
Return to the HOME of your soul... (not LAND)

Anyway, the site rambles quite a bit, but makes for a bit of an interesting
read. And, I guess unless anyone can refute Kahn's claim, I'm inclined to
take it at face value.
