As promised Hanshir Listers here are the words for The Unicorn (Jewish version)
by Lessia
I saw the unicorn in a glade
shimmering on the summer's breeze.
It left a shadow in the shade,
then disappeared beyond the trees.
So how can I not believe in wishes coming true?
How can I not believe in a miracle or two?
How can I not believe you'll find God someway?
I saw a unicorn today.
Your dusty Torah's on the shelf.
You save your faith for what you can see.
Close your eyes and you will see.
But you seem so angry at the world.
Don't you know that faith can set you free.
T
oday, I saw the unicorn
So let's go down into the glen.
If we stay still we may just find
The unicorn come back again.
It always does when you give it time,
and then maybe you'll believe in wishes coming true?
And then maybe you can trust in miracles
and then maybe God can reach the unicorn in you.
'Cause ev'ry gentle unicorn is a wistful pray'r that haunts the spirit.
If youu just put your faith in God
say that pray'r and God will hear it.
I shade my eyes to light the Shabbos candles
Now there's magic in the air
In the joyous faces of my chidren, I see God is there
God is everywhere.
My husband's gaze is warm and tender
our hearts are fill'd with love,
Earth's sweet things that God has given us.
Like Randee Friedman, I encourage everyone to get to know Lessia's music - the
songs are beautiful and literate and rewarding.
