I use a program called "Composers Mosaic" , made especially for Mac
users. It's much more user-friendly than Finale, from what I've
heard. Took me a little while to learn, but it's not the kind of thing
that sends you into spasms. So, you might want to check it out.
It's made by a company in Cambridge, MA called Mark of the Unicorn.
