[HANASHIR:6499] Re: songs for baby namings

Wendy,
I wrote a song for my niece's baby naming a few years ago -- and the lyrics
could easily work for an adoptive naming as well. Here are the lyrics -- I'll
send you a tape of the music if you like (sorry, I don't have it notated).
Let me know!

MAY YOU BE

You?re the tiniest bud on the family tree,
A special new person we?ve all come to see.
We welcome you to us, we?re happy you came.
We?ll help you to grow and be strong in your name.

May you learn life?s lessons in every good way,
May you grow in strength and courage and love,
May you find the blessings in every new day,
And always have help and guidance from above.

You?re a brand new page in our history,
A precious new soul for eternity,
Made in God?s image, as all those before,
To be part of creation for generations more.

May you have the wisdom and beauty
Of Sarah, Rivka, Leah and Rachel,
May your days be filled with righteous deeds,
May you be a light that shines in Yisrael.

May we have the joy of helping you be
Like Sarah, Rivka, Leah and Rachel,
May all of our days as a family
Be as blessed as this day is for all of Yisrael.
