Dear Wendy,

For Ladino, you may want to sing "Cuando il rey nimrod" (also called "Avram 
Avinu") which tells of the birth of Abraham.  It's in the Nico Castel book 
and is pretty easy to find in other Ladino collections.

Also, Craig Taubman's Sh'ma B'ni is fantastic for this kind of occasion.
