[HANASHIR:6393] Robbi Sherwin

I just got Robbi's album "Todah L'Chem" in the mail, and wanted to write in
with some shameless promotion for her and her work. The album is great, not
only musically, but for the way in which she utilized Jewish musicians from
around the country throughout the process. She recorded a song in Boston
with Yom Hadash, recorded in LA with Sam Glazer and Julie Silver, did a song
in Denver with Steve Brodsky, and the bulk of the album in Austin with some
great players from there. (heck, she even got me in the studio for a day
when I was in town there)

In this way, she is carving a unique niche in the community as a bridge
builder, connection maker, collaborator and general Jewish Music Maven par
excellance. Many people have felt that the CAJE experience has been fairly
competitive and cliquish as far as the music goes, and Robbi has done a great
service of bringing people together in a lot of harmonious ways. She sings
with everybody, supports everybody, is unfailingly positive, and to my mind,
has done great work in the community. "Props" to you, Robbi. and "Bravo"
for the great record.

I'll bet you could order one through her website at www.robbisherwin.com
