Growin' I & II, many of Fran Avni's books, I guess you need to check out
www.jewishmusic.com
and check their "music book" section. There are books with "children" in
the title; many of them are very good. Bottom line is, that I have found
in my 15 years of teaching jewish music that no one book is "it." If you
get 4-5 songs from each book, consider that great. Just start purchasing
books and you'll find your favorites that work for you. At least we have
Soundswrite and Tara. Ask them to send you catalogs, or search online and
you'll find many wonderful resources. Good luck!
Meris Ruzow -- also depends on whether you're teaching reform, conservative,
so start looking and have fun!
