I would have to weigh in as opposed to your proposal. First, I think it
trivializes the meaning of serious ritual counting, like the Omer, and gives
undo importance to the HN workshop. Secondly, it is exclusionary and
offensive and/or irrelevant to those who do not/cannot attend HN. Thirdly, I
find it a somewhat sensationalistic practice, and one that smacks of
Madison-Avenue style hype. As well meaning as it is, I just don't see it as
appropriate. And as list-owner, I feel compelled to discourage the idea.

Sorry to be a wet blanket.
