[HANASHIR:6234] Re: Sound-editing software

Hi, Michael. Hope all is well with you!

I've had a great deal of luck with a software package called "Cool Edit
Pro." It's quite easy to learn, though it requires an analog-to-digital
converter (as would just about anything, I suspect) to feed sound into a
computer. I used it to edit the HN 1999 CDs, and was able to do so with
relatively little difficulty: including taking out coughs, background
noise, etc.; I also was able to create fadeins and fadeouts with ease.
Note that this software package is a few years old at this point, so there
may be something better out there; but I think it's still worth checking
out Cool Edit Pro's most recent version.
