I think the song you're looking for is called "Days Pass, Years Go By" by
Ray M. Cook.  Check publications such as "Manginot"--the tune was quite
popular
in the camp movements.  Judy Caplan Ginsburgh has also recorded it on her
"Boker Tov/Laila Tov" album.
