This was sent back to me and you've all probably started on your journeys to 
Wisconsin, but I'm still hopeful (or just silly!) and am sending this again 
anyway!...


Dear Havanashirites (sp?) of 2000.

Unfortunately, another year has gone by where i am convinced the British
Education System is trying to prevent me from joining your medley of 
music,and finals prevail :-( However, there are english representatives 
among you again this year and I hope they will come back as willing to share 
as they usually are!

What I wanted to do was ask you all a favour: There have been several
discussions about setting up a kind of 'mini-havanashira' in London to train 
some desparately needed songleaders, as well as for those who already exist 
to meet and share in what they know. Having already had initial discussions, 
we know where (or rather, from who) we can find the required inspiration and 
teaching skills (as long as we can convince them to join us in London!) but 
we don't know anything about the organizational side of HN. If any of you 
who might know more about this could sit Jess or Gideon down and tell them 
everything you know, I would be indebted to you for a rather long time! We 
would like to know the practicalities behind setting up our own english 
version of havanashira - thongs and all! - and being able to use all of your 
past experiences in what does and does not work would be really fab.

back here with lots of wonderful resources, and we'll be sure to let you 
know when things happen! Of course, if you're an inspirational songleader 
with a lot of experience and you want to to come to London and help us, we'd 
love you even more...!
