I've been working at a day school for eleven years. I am a former public 
school music teacher. the salaries in the conn. area are about 10,000 less a 
year, on the average.
it all depends on where you are on the steps. more info is needed.

it's much more lucrative at a public school...private schools don't usually 
give benefits unless you're full time
