[HANASHIR:6041] New CD and songbook at HN

Hi, friends!
Just wanted to let the folks who are attending HN later this month that I'll
be bringing with me my brand new CD and companion songbook, "Songs From The
Heart: Family Shabbat." (It's so new that the printed CD insert won't be
available until Father's Day and so I'll repost an "official" announcement
at that time...)

"Family Shabbat" is a collection of 18 easy-to-sing Shabbat songs which I
think will be a useful resource for songleaders/cantors/music teachers.
Most are based on liturgy. A few are just for children, but most are for
everybody. My Youth Choir and Adult Choir have been enjoying them, as have
the kids in my religious school music classes. Some are unison, some are
rounds, and some have an easy harmony line. The 65-page cardstock songbook
includes sheet music and chords for each song and includes
ready-to-photocopy pages of big-print lyrics to make life a little easier
for songleaders. The music has been very well-received by those who have
been singing it with me over the past year, so I'm hoping it finds a home at
your congregation, too.

The song titles are:
Shalom Shabbat Shalom (for Fri night and Havdalah)
Lights of Shabbat (candle blessing)
Come See The Candles
Hinei Mah Tov
When God Made The World
Bar'chu
The Children's Shema
You Shall Love
Mi Chamocha (with thanks to Rachelle Nelson who collaborated on it)
We Give You Thanks
V'shamru
Shalom Rav (my favorite!)
Oseh Shalom
Aleinu
V'ne'emar/Bayom Hahu
The 90-Second Adon Olam
Shalom Aleichem, Peace To Us
Y'varechecha

A youth chorus sings several of the songs on the recording and there's
Klezmer clarinet, harp, and lots more. For more info, please visit my web
site at http://www.geocities.com/CBoydLeon and click on "Songs From The
Heart."

For those not able to be at HN, I'll repost this around Father's Day after
I've received all the CDs and cassettes and of course will be happy to take
mail orders at that time.

'Looking forward to meeting all the friends I know from this list!
Yours,
Carol

P.S. If you purchase a CD at HN, I promise I'll mail you the color insert
when it becomes available!
