[HANASHIR:5905] Re: Ethiopian Tochnit

Careful there--the Abuyadaya Jews are from Uganda, and bear no relation to
the Ethiopian Jewish community. They essentially converted into Judaism in
the early 20th century. (As opposed to the Ethiopian Jewish communities,
which have been Jewish for at least 400 years.)

I would recommend, however, "Shlomo Gronich and the Sheba Choir," which
includes songs (in Hebrew, granted, but easily translatable) about the
Ethiopian journey to Israel (sung by a number of Ethiopian-Jewish children).

Be well.
Judah.
