[HANASHIR:5864] Ancient music bank

At the Hebrew University Givat Ram campus in Jerusalem there is an audio 
library exactly as you are describing.  I am studying with one of the 
professors and could forward this on to him if you'd like.   Perhaps he could 
give instructions for recording (how, what, etc) without having to actually fly 
anyone anywhere.
