[HANASHIR:5769] RE: Top 10 Shabbat Songs

If you mean "everyone sing together" songs, then, off the top: Lecha Dodi
(Zeira); Chiribim, Chiribam; Yismechu (trad.); Veshamru (Rothblum); Ma Yafeh
Hayom; Bim Bam; Ki Eshmera Shabbat (either Sephardic version);Shalom
Aleichem (Goldfarb); Mizmor Shir (Camp Swig or Carlebach), D'ror Yikra
(Yemenite). Tops in the sense of well known, done a lot and enjoyed a lot by
different age groups!

Subject: [HANASHIR:5767] Top 10 Shabbat Songs

Dear Friends,

My congregation is having an Adult/Family Education retreat in May. The
topic of the retreat is the Ten Commandments.

On Friday Evening, I would like to do a program of the Top 10 Shabbat
Songs. I would love to have some suggestions from all of you. The one
request is that the song is specifically for Shabbat. It can be from any
part of Shabbat, such as Kabbalat Shabbat, Z'mirot, Ma'ariv Services and
Shacharit Services.

So what say all of you!!

Thanks in advance for you help. AFter I have compiled my list, I will let
you know what I decided to use.
