Okay, I'm going to skew this topic slightly and ask for some more practical
advice: I blow strings like they _are_ made of dental floss. During the
summer, a good day is one that requires me to only change one string...at my
worst (like Friday night), I've done as many as 4 in one song session.
A few months ago, I replaced my entire set of strings (for the first time in
we won't say how long), and I noticed that they all lasted significantly
longer than when I replace them one at a time (I'm notorious for breaking
G-strings, jokes aside). So, I'm trying to make it a habit to replace all 6
when one goes, but I'd still love to increase the longevity of my strings,
regardless of what brand they are. Any tips? How does one clean strings?
(something someone mentioned earlier in this string...e-mail string, that
is) Does changing all the strings make a difference, or am I just
hallucinating? Any suggestions/advice would be appreciated!
Thank you!
David
