To Andy: Do you literally mean every 12 hours of playing time??? or
was this a figure of speech?
To others: How often do you typically change guitar strings? And do
you go by some particular criterion (e.g. quality of sound, difficulty
to tune, etc.) or by a schedule (e.g. once a month)?
I play very irregularly - e.g. practicing every day for a month before
the community seder, then maybe not again at all for another month - so
I tend to change strings just before a major event, & not much
otherwise. That amounts to once or twice a year. Should I be doing
this more often?
