[HANASHIR:5596] Re: wrestling

Another perspective...
Not everyone feels comfortable expressing his or her spirituality through
movement. It's true that, for some, intense whole-body involvement really
is key. For others, expression comes through singing the words. For still
others, it may be quietly humming the melody or even listening with a closed
mouth and an open heart. As a songleader, I hope my music reaches out to
the entire congregation, but I recognize that one person may react by
singing and clapping or even dancing right along while another may simply
listen and perhaps tap her toe. Yet both have been touched. Sometimes,
after a service, it's the quietest, stillest congregant who makes a point of
letting me know they were moved by the music. I am passionate about the
music I lead and do my best to convey my spirit hand-in-hand with the notes
and words. I simply want to point out that "movement" and "being moved"
aren't necessarily the same.
