[HANASHIR:5565] Re: Tov Lanu Lashir

Hi Joanna (and everyone else out there!)
Tov Lanu Lashir was only distributed in record form and has been sold out for
years - because it is such a great recording, as is the second Camp Swig
recording, Shir Mi-Libeinu, there have been repeated requests over the years
to reissue these in some format. Thanks to the herculean efforts of Michael
Levin, this project has found new life - I have volunteered to assist in
editing, printing, manufacturing, and distribution (similar to my involvement
with Josh Miller's Shir L'Yom Chadash CD project). So it looks like these
two fine recordings will be available in CD, hopefully sometime this year.
Stay tuned....

Hi David and Lisa, (or anyone else who's interested)

I was a head songleader at Swig for a couple of years, and actually wish I
own a copy of Tov Lanu Lashir myself! Here are a few suggestions, however:
 1. call the Swig/Newman office in SF for help: (415) 392-7080
 2. Call Cantor Wally Schachet-Briskin at Leo Baeck Temple in LA (I
unfortunately can't dig up the number right now, but I'm sure it's listed)
 3. Try to see if you can get in touch with Randee Friedman at Sounds Write
 Productions, 1-800-9-Sound-9, P.O. Box 608078, San Diego, CA 92160-8078.
She may have a good idea of how to track it down. She is the chief
distributor of Debbie Friedman's music, and since Debbie helped make the
album, Randee may have the info on that. I think that she is on the
Hanashir list as well...Randi, are you out there??

 Hope this helps!
