[HANASHIR:5064] children's recordings

Dear Havanashira recording experts,
I will be recording a CD of nursery school songs, and I've requested
that there are children's voices as well as my own. I feel strongly
that their voices will make the CD as sweet as the producer really
wants it to be. I think I will be in an isolated booth with head phones
and the children will be in a separate room with a window between us.
But it wasn't clear that the children will be able to hear me. Can
anyone give me some suggestions of how to do this? The producer I'm
working with is not experienced in this, it is a favor for the nursersy
school. I feel like when I'm singing with the children in classes, my
eye contact, encouragment and body movements are imperative. I know
they will be able to see me through the window but I feel like its not
the same. Is it better to do a totally live recording? This is my
first time doing this, I would love some advice about it. Thanks!!!
