Dear Adrian -

I don't think we need to go where you two cents are leading.  In reality, it 
is most unlikely that the traditional synagogues would do an alternative 
service format at all.  For those hundreds of congregations that have no 
problem with instrumental music or the use of electronics during the service, 
why should they be denied that enhancement if it is their "minhag"?
