Andy, I though britot were usually private.  I've actually never been to one or

In the Jewish tradition I know, people are not invited to funerals and
britot.  It is understood that the community is welcome.  In other words,
someone who thinks you're "crashing the party" is ill-informed about Jewish
customs.  I don't know about weddings...
