There is a special chant for Shirat HaYam in
both the Ashkenazi and Sefardi traditions.
Manginot #174 on page 259 is the Ashkenazi
version of that special chant, which superceeds
the usual Torah trope for that section. In fact,
there are specific verses in this chant interspersed
among the normal trope; see "Biblical Chant" by
Binder for a list of these verses.
As far as I know, the Sefardim use their special
melody for the entire Shirat HaYam, not just a
few verses like the Ashkenazim.
